About Grant House
Grant House has been presenting the McGrath SUCCEED with Communication, Supervision, Evaluation, and Leadership Program since 1995. One of our senior-most trainers, Mr. House presents all phases of this program for school districts throughout the United States including the basic course, mentorship days, and training of trainers programs as well as curricula in the areas of bullying and cultural diversity.
Grant House is a skilled facilitator, business leader and community organizer residing in Santa Barbara, California where he is honored to serve on the Santa Barbara City Council. Prior to being elected to office in 2005, Mr. House served two full terms on the Santa Barbara City Planning Commission. He is past President of the Board of the Greater Eastside Merchants Business Association and is a co-founder and coordinator of the award winning community development project called the Eastside Study Group.
An advocate for youth, Grant was a founding member of the Multicultural Educational Consortium striving for higher academic achievement for underserved students of color, a member of the Santa Barbara Junior High Adopt-A-School Program; co-founder and administrative team member of César Chávez Dual Language Immersion Charter School; and drafter of the Pro-Youth Coalition's operating philosophy.
As a community oriented businessman, Mr. House is proud to have received awards for Advocate Planning from the American Institute of Architects (2005), Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year (2004), Small Business Person of the Year by the Santa Barbara County Chamber of Commerce (1995), and Local Hero by the City's community oriented news weekly, The Independent (1994). Mr. House is a powerful presenter, bringing the principles of trust, respect, understanding and growth to the complex legal and contractual relationships between school administrators and the employees they supervise.
